Does your care home comply with the LOLER & PUWER regulations?
The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, aim to reduce the Health and Safety risks by using lifting equipment. This regulation requires all lifting equipment, such as patient hoists to be serviced /inspected and weight tested on a 6 monthly / annual basis.

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 aim to reduce the Health and Safety risks by placing a duty on employers to ensure the work equipment they own and operate ( e.g beds) and have control over are safe to use at all times.
